I wonder how many packages
are waiting for me in Heaven...
Those that God has sent to me
But I have left unopened!
All the many times I've prayed
for answers I have needed...
I think that God's not heard my cries
and they have gone unheeded!
How many times have answers been
right before my eyes
Unseen by sight then clouded by
the sound of my own cries!
When we cling too firmly
to the problem in itself
We can miss the answers
They're set back on the shelf!
They are ours regardless
They're stamped with our own name
But they don't do us any good
When we refuse to claim!
All the unopened blessings
sent by God's own hand
He knows what we are going through
He always understands!
He waits to let us help ourselves
Stand up on our own two feet
These are lessons to be learned
Our journey to complete!
Then there's times he says 'Okay'
and gives a little shove
He sends us helpfull blessings
Because of his great love!
Because of crisis, we may ask
our pleas are offered up
By faith we must expect results
and looking for God's cup!
He is just and faithful
answering as we do believe
It's up to us to be prepared
Making ready to receive!
So, next time you find yourself
feeling all alone and stressing
Remember answers sent by God
Don't leave unopened blessings!

Chapter 1.
I walk down a street and there's a deep hole
in the sidewalk. I fall in. It takes forever to get
out. It's not my fault.
Chapter 2.
I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again.
It still takes a long time to get out. It's not my fault.
Chapter 3.
I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again.
It's becoming a habit. It is my fault. I get out
immediately.
Chapter 4.
I walk down the same street and see the deep hole
in the sidewalk. I walk around it.
Chapter 5.
I walk down a different street.

Fake friends - Real friends!
FAKE FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr / Mrs
REAL FRIENDS: Call your parents DAD/MOM
FAKE FRIENDS: bail you out of jail and tell you what you did was wrong
REAL FRIENDS: Would sit next to you saying 'Dawg ... we screwed up...
but that was fun!'
FAKE FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry
REAL FRIENDS: cry with you
FAKE FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back
REAL FRIENDS: keep your stuff so long they forget it's yours
FAKE FRIENDS: know a few things about you
REAL FRIENDS: Could write a book about you with direct quotes from you
FAKE FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing
REAL FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds butt that left you
FAKE FRIENDS: Would knock on your front door
REAL FRIENDS: Walk right in and say 'I'M HOME!'
FAKE FRIENDS: Are for awhile
REAL FRIENDS: Are for life
FAKE FRIENDS: will talk bad to the person who talks bad about you.
REAL FRIENDS: Will knock the person out that talked bad about you
FAKE FRIENDS: Would ignore this
REAL FRIENDS: Will send this to all their real friends and hope to get it back!
If you were killed today, I'm sorry I wouldn't be able to come to your
funeral, because I'd be in jail for killing the person who did it.

DON’T LOOK BACK
As you travel through life there are always those times
When decisions just have to be made,
When the choices are hard, and solutions seem scarce,
And the rain seems to soak your parade.
There are some situations where all you can do
Is simply let go and move on,
Gather your courage and choose a direction
That carries you toward a new dawn.
So pack up your troubles and take a step forward -
The process of change can be tough,
But think about all the excitement ahead
If you can be stalwart enough!
There might be adventures you never imagined
Just waiting around the next bend,
And wishes and dreams just about to come true
In ways you can't yet comprehend!
Perhaps you'll find friendships that spring from new things
As you challenge your status quo,
And learn there are so many options in life,
And so many ways you can grow!
Perhaps you'll go places you never expected
And see things that you've never seen,
Or travel to fabulous, faraway worlds
And wonderful spots in between!
Perhaps you'll find warmth and affection and caring
And somebody special who's there
To help you stay centered and listen with interest
To stories and feelings you share.
Perhaps you'll find comfort in knowing your friends
Are supportive of all that you do,
And believe that whatever decisions you make,
They'll be the right choices for you.
So keep putting one foot in front of the other,
And taking your life day by day...
There's a brighter tomorrow that's just down the road -
Don't look back! You're not going that way!

THE VALUE OF TIME
Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course! Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow".
You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running.
Make the most of today.
To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a pre-mature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer with kids to feed.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.
Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.
And remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present!

A Prosperous New Year
Thanks for being what you are.
You are indeed a treasure to me and to many.
In this 2009,
May you Count each of Your Blessings; not so much your problems.
In everything encountered in life,
May you never forget to always move ahead with courage and trust in God in both the good and challenging moments.
A Prosperous 2009. We keep each other in prayers always.
